Working Hypothesis

The Complete Architecture

Putting the model together without mixing its layers

Learning objectives

  • Assemble the complete architecture.
  • Place each function in the correct layer.

We have reached the point where adding more concepts would make the theory worse, not better. The task now is to assemble what we already have into one architecture and make sure each function sits in the right place.

1. Global Consciousness

At the top is Global Consciousness. In our model, it is the larger consciousness field that contains relational information, possibility structure, relationships among Individual Consciousnesses, actualized histories, and open future trajectories.

Global Consciousness is not modeled as an embodied mind, a cosmic brain, or a sequential database. It is the larger field within which Individual Consciousness exists.

2. Individual Consciousness

Individual Consciousness is a persistent distinguishable identity within Global Consciousness. It is not fully separate from the larger field, but it remains meaningfully individual.

Its primary functions are:

  • awareness
  • choosing / free will
  • consciousness-level discernment
  • continuity across incarnations
  • integration of experience
  • access to Global Consciousness

This is the enduring “person” in the deeper sense. It is not the temporary 3D personality of one incarnation.

3. Group consciousness

Group consciousness is not another permanent metaphysical layer. It is a dynamic network state produced when multiple Individual Consciousnesses become coupled.

That coupling can occur through embodied interaction, shared attention, emotion, communication, synchronization, and direct consciousness-level coupling in the working model.

So the group is a relationship among individuals, not a separate cosmic object.

4. Embodiment

An incarnation is a localized physical expression of Individual Consciousness through an embodied organism.

The embodied organism includes brain, nervous system, body, sensory systems, physiology, and interoception. The body is not merely a vehicle carrying a little consciousness object. It is the interface through which Individual Consciousness becomes localized into one physical worldline.

5. Where sequential time appears

Global and Individual Consciousness are not modeled as fundamentally organized by ordinary spacetime succession. The embodied organism is.

Through physical change, memory, prediction, causality, and sensory sequencing, the organism produces the experienced structure:

PAST → NOW → FUTURE

So sequential experienced time belongs to embodiment. That is different from saying that physical spacetime is imaginary.

6. How access works

Individual Consciousness already participates in Global Consciousness. Therefore access does not require spatial travel.

INTENTION
targets

AWARENESS
orients

COHERENCE
affects clarity

DISCERNMENT
recognizes signal

If information is accessed, embodiment then translates it into usable human experience.

7. Translation and interpretation

The raw signal is not necessarily a word, image, symbol, or body sensation. The embodied organism renders the signal as thought, image, symbol, sensation, emotion, knowing, or theme.

Then the brain interprets and calibrates that representation using memory, context, expectation, fear, desire, and external reality. That means discernment and interpretation are different functions.

8. Past and future access

Past-oriented access points toward actualized relational history. Future-oriented access points toward open possibility structure.

That is why future information is probabilistic rather than deterministic. A future perception can contain real information about a strong trajectory without requiring that trajectory to become the one eventually lived.

9. Free will and actualization

Free will originates in Individual Consciousness. The brain/body executes the choice.

CONSCIOUSNESS
chooses
    ↓
BRAIN / BODY
physicalizes
    ↓
LIVED TRAJECTORY

The possibility structure constrains what is available. Physical conditions constrain what can be executed. But choosing itself belongs to consciousness in this model.

Whether coherence directly changes the probability landscape remains unresolved.

10. What persists across incarnations

Ordinary autobiographical memory belongs primarily to the brain. Individual Consciousness instead carries integration.

That can include capacities, dispositions, relationships, coherence, discernment, recurring patterns, and developed quality of awareness.

The enduring consciousness therefore does not need to be a metaphysical memory archive. It can become different in quality without carrying every embodied memory explicitly.

11. The entire model in one flow

GLOBAL CONSCIOUSNESS
relational information + possibilities
        ↕
INDIVIDUAL CONSCIOUSNESS
awareness + choosing + discernment + integration
        ↕
EMBODIED ORGANISM
brain + body + translation + interpretation
        ↓
PHYSICAL SPACETIME
sequential embodied experience

Across individuals:

Individual A ↔ Individual B ↔ Individual C
          group coupling

Across possibilities:

possible futures
      ↓
choice / conditions
      ↓
one lived trajectory

Across incarnations:

embodied experience
      ↓
integration
      ↓
enduring Individual Consciousness
      ↓
new embodied expression

That is the architecture.

The model works only if we keep its jobs separate: consciousness is not the brain, symbols are not the signal, possibility is not causality, and integration is not autobiographical memory.

Doorway to Door 16

This theory did not emerge in an intellectual vacuum. Parts of it resemble idealism, panpsychism, transmission models of consciousness, Jungian ideas, relational accounts of time, and modern brain-based consciousness theories.

The important question is not “Who agrees with us?” It is: Where is the architecture genuinely similar, and where is it different?

That takes us to Door 16: How This Compares With Existing Theories.
